The aim of the Employability Fund Project is to help unemployed East Ayrshire residents aged 18+ move into sustainable work.

Each course is tailored to a specific industry, for example Health & Social Care. We work with local employers within that chosen industry, who have vacancies available, and then tailor the two week course to suit both the needs of employer and the skillset of the candidates. The course is designed to give all attendees a good grounding in what to expect when they move into work and to improve or increase their employability skills to further their chances of a successful interview. The courses run for two weeks, Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm each day. The content of each course is split between workplace knowledge and improving employability skills. During the second week of the course we invite partnership colleagues from Lloyds Banking Group to work with the candidates to help them to recognise their existing transferrable skills and to hone their interview skills. Following the course we match candidates to the available jobs and work to guarantee each candidate at least one live job interview. All candidates will also work to achieve an industry recognised and accredited qualification as part of each course.
