Project Aim

The aim of the project is to bring children’s and adults’ educators together to create awareness raising and training materials on how best to engage those hard to reach adults in the education of their children

Project Description

The WEA have entered into a partnership with Learning Link Scotland, LEAD Scotland and the Scotland’s Learning Partnership to deliver a ‘Home School Links’ project over 2017/18 and 2018/19.

The aim of the project is to bring children’s and adults’ educators together to create awareness raising and training materials on how best to engage those hard to reach adults in the education of their children. It will do this by piloting adult and family learning opportunities within areas of multiple deprivation, and use the results of the pilots to create the awareness raising and training materials which will be aimed at attainment officers, teachers and other professionals to use to improve their engagement with adults.

Target Audience

Parents in areas where school age children’s attainment is low.
