Project Aim

Help move unemployed people into sustained work stages 3 & 4, Stage 2 learners - moving those furthest removed from the workplace along the pipeline to either a stage 3 or 4 course which ever is most suitable thus moving them closer to work.

Project Description

Develop employer led training courses on a variety of themes such as Health & Social Care, Food Production, Call Centre, Employability Skills etc. Referrals can be made from Jobcentres, other providers or self referral. WEA speak to local employers who have relevant vacancies. The course is developed and includes input from the employers as to what they would like the learners to have knowledge of. WEA continually assess the learners during the course and will then arrange interviews for those felt most suitable either during or immediately after the course 65% success rate of learners achieving sustained employment.

Anyone who is unemployed and deemed suitable for the required workplace.
