For the past few years I've been involved in various projects supporting refugees. I joined WEA at the end of 2019 as an ESOL Tutor and it has been such encouraging work. It is wonderful to work with the Syrian learners across Highland and to see their commitment to learning English. Being a WEA Tutor enables me to have independence and flexibility in the way I deliver classes, suiting material to the learners' needs. We have a resourceful and supportive team in our office who are always willing to help. I look forward to seeing how the Syrian Resettlement Program develops in the Highlands.
