Steve Murison
Education Coordinator- Reach Out Project, Aberdeen

I find myself in the rather unique position of actually attending Reach Out as a student/volunteer many years back; which was the main catalyst for me getting myself back on my feet and eventually back to work. It is with great pride that I now hold a position within the team as Education Coordinator, allowing me to assist in the ongoing development of our educational programme along with the day to day running of the project, including: facilitating classes, residential trips, maintaining and growing our profile within the city and running an advocacy and signposting service to provide further support to our learners. I come from a peer support work background, having a hearty seventeen odd years under my belt and I bring a depth of knowledge relevant to the majority of our learner base.

Personally I love art, cats, loud music, getting out into our bonny Scottish hills and the occasional skateboard session when my ankles permit. It gives me great pleasure to be able to bring some of my passion and energy into our project, enabling our learners to get the best out of their lives using a supportive and collaborative approach.’
