The basic I.T. course gives those who have no I.T. skills or are simply in need of a refresher the chance to learn computer skills in a supportive, caring and flexible environment. This course improves literacy and numeracy skills as well as IT skills and ultimately can lead on to improved confidence and self-esteem.

We go right back to the beginning, the basics, starting with 'what is a mouse and keyboard' through to learning how to use the basic Microsoft word, the internet and other computer packages. The content of the course is non prescriptive and draws on what individuals think they need to know about information technology. In this day and age learners understand that they have to engage with I.T. to navigate benefit systems and to help them with future employment.
