Skills for Social Justice - WEA Conference 2009

2nd October, Mitchell Library Theatre, Glasgow


The Workers' Educational Association and the Open University are collaborating on a conference to discuss and debate the role learning plays in society. 

Fiona Hyslop, Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning in the Scottish Government, will open the Conference.

The keynote speaker will be Willy Roe, Chair of Skills Development Scotland and a Commissioner on the UK Commission for Employment Skills.

Parallel Session

Parallel sessions will explore the benefits of adult education work of the WEA, the Open University and other organisations, including UNISON and the Co-operative Movement. Participants will be able to choose to attend two out of eleven parallel sessions.
