The WEA makes literacy and numeracy skills central to courses in the community. This has led to new and interesting programmes, including:
- New programmes for rural learners with a disability.
- A newsletter produced by adults recovering from mental health problems.
- Reminiscence work with frail elderly learners.
- Offering English language courses with a strong element of understanding our community for migrant workers.
- Numeracy and environmental studies in partnership with Glasgow Science Museums.
